Iknow exactly what you are going through. I am in a similar situation. I am a mom of 3 boys. I can't get any help with the medical supplies that I need. I have a bad back and am unable to work. We depend on my fiance's income to survive. We also recieve food stamps & WIC. I was told that we made too much money to qualify for Medicaid. We are constantly trying to figure out how we are going to pay the bills. My fiance only gets paid twice a month. When I go to the doctor, I have to travel 1 to 2 hours just to see the neurosurgeon. I have to go once a week too! I am so sorry that there isn't anything that I can do to help. I was wondering if there was any websites or anything that you know of that might help?

     I am a mother of 3 beautiful boys. This is my first time ever doing this, but I don't know what else to do. I am 25 years old. When I was 17, I got into a car accident and broke my back in 3 places. I also broke my right leg. I now have a rod in my leg and constant back pain. I recently seen a neurosurgeon about my back. I was told that I have many serious problems with my back. I have dextroscoliosis, arthritis, a bulging disc, a compressed disc, and several Schmorl's nodes. The doctor said that I needed a special back brace that would cost about $500. Some of the medication that I need I cannot afford either.

     My family and I are living from paycheck to paycheck. Since I am unable to work, we depend on my fiance to provide for us. He only gets paid twice a month. We recieve food stamps and WIC for food, and the boys get Soonercare (state medical insurance). I was told that I did not apply for medicaid because of my partner's income.

     I asked for assistance from Indian Health Services, but was denied. They said that they didn't pay for those types of things. My tribe told me the same thing. OKDHS said that we made too much money. I don't know who else I can ask for assistance. Can anyone help? Point me in the right direction!
